Named after the designer’s baby girl, the Alexia Cradle is elegantly designed for a timeless appeal with a graceful cut, removable canopy rod, and spindles on the top of all four sides of the basket.
The cradle is Crafted of your choice of solid Arolla pine, a unique wood due to its light beautiful color and mild pleasant aroma, or solid beech wood. (Beech wood Currently on back order)
For safety the cradle is finished with 100% non-toxic bee wax. (Other finishes available include a non-toxic white or antique white)
Two-inch thick natural Coir Fiber cradle mattress included and a beautiful white canopy. (Pink or blue gingham canopy is available upon request.)

DESCRIPTION
This Cradle Mattress was especially designed by the well known German pediatrician, Dr. Carsten Luebbe. This is the perfect mattress for your newborn.
Because we believe in surrounding the newborn with only the highest quality, we had this mattress especially made to fit our American size cradles.
The Dr. Luebbe mattress is constructed of Natural Coir Fiber (coconut fiber) which is coiled and sprayed with latex rubber allowing for full air circulation. This hypo-allergenic, non-absorbent fiber is then covered on both sides with a soft PU foam comfort layer. This combination provides for just the right firmness a newborn needs.
All mattresses are made in Germany and fit standard cradle sheets

Baby sleeping sacks have been used in Europe to keep babies warm and safe for over 25 years. For a peaceful sleep it is important to keep the baby warm, but babies often roll over and kick blankets off. Baby sleeping sacks always cover the baby, providing a warm and cozy haven. Our sleeping sacks completely open up with a convenient side zipper and over the shoulder snaps; parents can easily place babies in and take them out with little effort.
Important Note: Studies show that loose baby blankets can increase the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), as they may end up covering the baby's mouth and nose; therefore, sleeping sacks are a safe alternative. In fact, one study published in the European Journal of Pediatrics in August 1998 found that sleeping sacks reduced the incidence of babies turning from back to front during sleep therefore reducing the risks of SIDS.
